Good News!

After 50 or more years of declining water quality & Habitat for fish, we have a New Reef Growing along the East coast of Palm Beach County.

Please Do Not Anchor near the New Reef

It's Growing Back along our shore line.

I have received several emails and seen articles in the Palm Beach Post about it.   They were not specific at all as to where exactly the new reef is.  While I doubt it will improve the fishing immediately, It will improve the fishing in the near future and for years to come.  We need to be sure not to anchor or damage the reef in any way.  I have reached out to the FL Dept. of Environmental Protection, Coral Reef Conservation Program, to see if we can get more specific information as to exactly where this reef is.  I have invited them to come speak at our November Meeting.  In the mean time Please don't use the anchor unless absolutely necessary.
